As I mentioned before I love reading this guy’s behind-the-scenes breakdown and thoughts on comic book logos. This time around Todd does a full analysis of each of the Amalgam Comics titles that were printed by Marvel and DC in the late nineties. Amalgam Comics was a brief mash-up of the Marvel and DC universes that was created after the Marvel vs. DC storyline that ran for a number of issues prior. The Amalgam Comics line consisted of a series of one-shot comic books each combining a popular Marvel character with a popular DC character. I followed the whole Marvel vs. DC storyline and when these Amalgam books came out I bought and enjoyed every issue.
Amalgam Comics Logo Studies by Todd Klein
Todd Klein’s recent logo studies of the 1996 and ‘97 Amalgam Comics logos are a fun read. It’s great to find out some background info on a set of comics I thoroughly enjoyed as a young teen.
