Hello
Welcome to my site. Sorry for the mess. As you can see I recently switched over to the current design, so content and layout is a little wonky here and there. I’m hoping to correct these issues in the near future.
What I do
I consider myself a designer and illustrator at the core. With a focus on interface and icon design. Two things that merge my love of open-ended creativity with my passion for clean, easy-to-use design in a wonderful way. I haven’t finished a proper “Portfolio” page, but I’ll get to it eventually. I am by no means a developer (as those of you who are can probably tell from my jumble of CSS). I’ve taught myself enough to create and maintain this site, but that’s as far as I like to take it.
Currently
At the moment I live and work in good ol’ Grand Rapids, MI. I’m a full time designer for the best company in town, Fusionary, and I also teach a web portfolio class every semester at Kendall College of Art and Design.
Background
I’ve always loved to draw. When I was younger all I would ever do was draw and read comic books, which eventually lead me to art school. I spent my first two years of college in Los Angeles, CA at Otis College of Art and Design. It was a great school and I had an awesome time. However, like most college students, I didn’t have a lot of money and I couldn’t keep up the cost of living in LA, so I moved back closer to home. I transferred to Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids where I graduated in 2005 with a degree in Digital Illustration.
